Founding Members & Past Patrons

PERTIWI is a project-oriented charitable organisation that aims to address the welfare and needs of women and children in Malaysia. Since its establishment in 1967, PERTIWI has played a vital role in advocating for women’s rights, providing literacy skills and education awareness, offering medical aid to remote villages, sponsoring foster children’s education, and facilitating skills training for single mothers, among other programmes.

PERTIWI owes its success and growth to the dedication and leadership of its founding members and past patrons. The 10 founding members were visionary women who shared a common passion for social justice and community service. They laid the foundation for PERTIWI’s activities and initiatives. The three past patrons were distinguished ladies who graced PERTIWI’s journey with their guidance and support. They helped to raise PERTIWI’s profile and influence in society.
